Bay Area Games In Their Own Words

We recapped Bay Area Games with some stellar photos and with our words, but now it’s time to hear reactions from people who were there!

1.)  A senior at Acalanes High School serving as a non-disabled peer volunteer shared her thoughts on why she wanted to volunteer, what the event was like and why it’s important for general education students to spend time with their special education peers:

2.) While not captured in video but still highly emotive, one of the young students competing said:

“It was one of the best days of my whole life!”

3.) One the dedicated members of our Law Enforcement Torch Run was one of the wonderful police officers handing out medals to the young athletes spoke on why he’s involved with Bay Area Games and Special Olympics Northern California as a whole:
